What better way to celebrate the 4th of July Eve than a photo array from the bountiful harvest of the 2703 Urban Garden. Nothing says America quite like a grotesque looking heirloom vegetable.
Hold on to your keyboards...
You have witnessed this little guy go from flower to harvest. Yummy looking isn't it?
Baby Peppers!!!!
When it came to these brandywine heirloom tomatoes I couldn't wait any longer for them to turn ripe on their own. These babies are now all ripening, or hopefully ripening, in a brown paper bag on the kitchen counter per the advice of my mother on how to accelerate the ripening process. Hopefully they will turn quickly.
These are supposedly bell peppers. Either my image of a bell is drastically different from the people who sold these seeds or there was a little bit of a mishap in the labelling process. If Sean was involved with the 2703 Urban Garden he would probably be drafting a lawsuit for millions of dollars right now instead of appreciating the unintentional additional diversity our garden is going to achieve by the error.
Had I waited just one more day I would have seen this little guy ripening all on its own.
